Over the course of May and June I have worked on a multi-genre research project. I chose the topic of the Holocaust. When I was figuring out which topic that I would chose the first idea that popped into my head was the Holocaust. I chose the Holocaust because when I was in first grade my family and I traveled to France. When we were in France we went to a Jewish village where the Nazis came through. The town was in ruins, there were churches that did not have a roofs and there were cars that were left stranded in the street. After going to that village it made me realize how people can treat each other for such a miniscule characteristic. So, ever since I was in first grade I have had this passion for learning about the Holocaust.
My motivation for using the Holocaust as my topic was because I have enjoyed researching about the Holocaust. My inspiration for doing the Holocaust as my topic is because to me it astonishes me how the Nazis could treat the Jewish population. In addition to, ever since I realized what the Nazis did it inspired me to learn more and more about the Holocaust.
While researching about the Holocaust I have learned a lot. When researching something that you love to learn about it is easy to learn a lot while doing research. I am very happy with the topic that I chose because I was interested in what I was learning.
In this project you will take a journey through the Holocaust, you will start at the beginning when Hitler fist comes to power and go until the victims are free. As you travel through the genres you will see a butterfly that will be liberated by the end of the project.
